LipBuzz Bath Oil Beads NEVER contain any microplastic beads and do not release any plastic in the environment.

What are microplastic beads?

Microbeads (microplastic beads) are a category of microplastics, are manufactured solid plastic particles smaller than 5 mm in size. 2. Microbeads typically serve as cleansers and exfoliants in personal care products, such as soaps, facial scrubs and toothpastes.

Because they're so small, microbeads don't get filtered out by wastewater treatment plants and instead, they get discharged directly into rivers, lakes, and the ocean. They are harmful to the environment.

Do LipBuzz products contain microbeads?

LipBuzz Bath Oil Beads NEVER contain any microplastic beads and do not release any plastic in the environment. The shell of the bath oil pearls are 100% dissolvable in water and are made of a gelatinous case that doe not contain any plastic microbeads.

We are committed to a sustainable future, which is why many of our products even contain bio-degradable packaging. We try to source all our packaging plastic-free, with the exception where soluble packaging would pose a damage to our products.

Where does the confusion come from?

Unfortunately, the confusion comes from the name : Bath Oil Beads, which gets confused with microbeads. Since both contain the word "beads", some make a connection. A quick research would point out that Bath Oil Beads are in fact, never made with plastic microbeads and never release plastic in the environment.
